Introducing Sara Ann Todd, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi
Dear Community Partners, Donors, and Friends,
We are pleased to share with you that the Board of Directors has unanimously named Sara Ann Todd as the next Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi. Her first day in this role will be June 22nd.
Sara Ann Todd is a healthcare executive and leadership strategist with more than 22 years of leadership experience spanning healthcare systems, military service, government, and organizational development. Throughout her career, she has led teams, strengthened operations, improved organizational performance, and developed leaders across complex and high-pressure environments where clarity, culture, and sustainable growth directly impact outcomes.
A former Army combat medic and healthcare executive, Sara Ann, brings a practical and people-centered leadership approach grounded in accountability, operational discipline, and long-term organizational health. Her leadership philosophy centers on strengthening people, systems, and culture together to build organizations that are aligned, resilient, and positioned for meaningful growth.
Service has remained a consistent thread throughout Sara Ann’s professional and personal journey. She believes leadership carries both responsibility and opportunity: responsibility to serve people well and opportunity to strengthen communities in lasting ways.
She has also volunteered in youth-serving capacities through Big Brothers Big Sisters and her local church, supporting young people through mentorship, encouragement, and community engagement. These experiences have strengthened her belief that meaningful impact begins by investing in people early, building strong support systems, and creating environments where individuals and communities can thrive.
Known for her strategic thinking, operational focus, and collaborative leadership style, Sara Ann builds strong relationships across organizations and communities while creating environments where people feel supported, expectations are clear, and teams are positioned to succeed.
Sara Ann approaches leadership with deep gratitude for the people, experiences, and opportunities that have shaped her journey and believes strong organizations are built through service, trust, accountability, and intentional investment in people.
Sara Ann is honored for the opportunity to serve as CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippi and is committed to strengthening organizational sustainability, deepening community partnerships, expanding impact, and creating brighter futures for young people and families across North Mississippi.
The search process was conducted over several months by Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s CEO Search Team, in partnership with a Search Committee led by me and other dedicated board members. I would personally like to thank Boys & Girls Clubs of America for their tremendous support during the CEO search process.
We are incredibly excited about Sara Ann joining the BGCNM family and look forward to your interaction with her as she defines her vision for supporting our members. Over the coming months, Sara Ann plans to meet our community members and as you learn about her priorities, strategy, and goals for our Clubs and community, we know you will be as hopeful about the future as we are.
For Sara Ann, the Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi opportunity is an honor:
“I learned early in life that safe spaces matter. Opportunities matter. People who believe in you, matter. Those experiences shaped how I lead and why I care deeply about creating environments where young people feel supported, seen, and encouraged to grow. I believe that leadership is not only about opening doors for others. Sometimes it is about helping remove barriers so they can walk through doors they never imagined possible.”
We thank you for your continued support of our Clubs. Without your generosity and dedication, we would not be able to support the many kids and teens who enter our doors each day.
Sincerely,
Lisa Nichols
Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi Board Chair
